Agada Tantra (Toxicology) is one among the Ashtang’s of Ayurveda, which deals with various natural and artificial toxic substances and poisons in detail along with their antidotes, signs and symptoms and the management of poisoning resulting from the bites of snakes, insects, spiders, rodents etc. in detail. As well as from the combinations of various other poisons like environmental toxicity, plant poisons, artificial poisons, food poisoning, cumulative toxicity, therapeutic errors, and biological poisons and about their fatal doses of various poisons.

Other Departments

Vyavahar Ayurveda (Medical jurisprudence) deals with medicine in relation to the law, legal aspects of medical ethics and standards. This discipline finds a parallel in the modern discipline of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. 

Agada yoga’s are special formulation mentioned in classical treatise which are useful in acute and chronic condition.

Department of Agada Tantra and Vyvahara Ayurveda also visits Post mortem examination, Forensic science Laboratory,  civil and Criminal Courts to enhance the practical knowledge of students.
