Samhita, Samskrita And Siddhantha
Samhita & Siddhanta is the foundation of Ayurveda basically learnt through Sanskrit language. Our department’s primary function is to introduce essential basics of Ayurveda and demonstrate how they are used in Ayurvedic study and practice. A learner won’t be able to apply the concepts more effectively until he reads and comprehends the fundamentals. Our department’s goal is to encourage and support young people’s curiosity and development of habitual reading and application of Samhita abilities in daily life.

Highlights of the Department
Faculty
Full-fledged professors, associate professors, and assistant professors who are knowledgeable, skilled, and accomplished make up the department. The faculty constantly work to help students understand and apply fundamental and practical information while also imparting such knowledge to them.
Sanskrit Language
All of our Samhitas are written in one of the earliest languages known to man, SANSKRIT. By using the fundamentals of Sanskrit grammar and literature, students who take regular Sanskrit studies can read and comprehend Sanskrit terms. Students are given the tools they need in these classes to read and comprehend Ayurvedic sutras.
Under graduate Studies
Regular theory classes are taken while incorporating the most recent instructional techniques. In order for students to develop a connection between the theories of Samhita & Siddhanta and the practical application, we make every effort to make the classes engaging and interactive. With the use of the Samhita and Siddhanta, we want to improve analytical and decision-making abilities in every young mind.
Post graduate Studies
The department provides postgraduate programmes that require graduates to be actively involved in both academic and research endeavors. We work hard to maximize each student’s potential. The sutras should be critically analyzed by scholars in order to improve their understanding of the meaning and information they process. Reflection, discussion, and concept improvement are constants in academic areas. Our goal is to produce quality Samhita Siddhanta postgraduates who have the potential to be adaptive, open-minded, and knowledgeable and who are vigilant with information that is founded on evidence and its applications.
PhD Studies
Faculty members are encouraged to enroll in a PhD programme to further their education and professional development.
Research
The postgraduate scholars are urged to engage in research projects that add to the body of existing knowledge. The department’s faculty is also urged to engage in departmental research projects that are supported by different organizations.
